Susumu Tsugaru is senior advisor at Konsert Strategy & IP for the Japanese Market. He has more than 35 years of experiences in the field of IP, including IP licensing and IP strategy. He was Head of Philips Intellectual Property & Standards Japan for almost 20 years and in the position of Senior Vice President of for more than 10 years.

Before joining Philips, he was at Toshiba Corporation for 18 years in positions involving leading and handling IP creation, licensing and litigation. He has deep experiences in establishment and operation of patent pool licenses, including One-Blue/One-Red and DVDFLLC.
