Karin Lersten is Principal at Konsert Strategy & IP and serves as Head of People & Talent on the firm’s leadership team. She brings 15 years of experience advising global enterprises on IP strategy, operating model design, and organisational transformation. Her work spans aligning IP functions with corporate strategy, strengthening governance and operations, and leading complex change programmes across a wide range of industries.

Through her work with some of the world’s largest organisations, Karin has developed deep expertise in People & Organisation topics, spanning organisational design, change management, and leadership support. Selected highlights include leading the redesign of one of the world’s largest IP departments; designing and implementing a global IP operating model for a leading health and nutrition company, including interim leadership during transition; and directing the change and communications work for a major IP management system transformation at a global pharmaceutical company. She has also served as Interim IP Portfolio Director for a global automotive manufacturer, advised a Fortune 100 company on the carve-out of a global IP function, and served as Joint Venture Manager of an IP holding company co-owned by two global technology leaders.

Karin holds a MSc in Entrepreneurship and Business Design, and a MSc in Biotechnology, from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.
