Konsert Strategy & IP is happy to announce Senior Advisor Gustav Brismark. Gustav is the former Chief Intellectual Property Officer at multinational Telecom Equipment Provider and ICT company Ericsson. In this position, Gustav had responsibility for Ericsson’s patent portfolio development worldwide and for the ~1 billion dollar patent licensing business. Gustav has worked more than 30 years in the telecommunication industry, in various research, product management and intellectual property roles related to the development and commercialization of technology.

“Gustav is one of the most well-respected people in the IP world and a thought leader in the space of IP transactions and standards”, says Jens Bördin, CEO at Konsert. “With digitalization, the IP game has changed. For most of our clients it is no longer enough to focus on protecting inventions coming out of R&D. Digital business means larger dependence on external technology and using IP e.g. to establish partnerships, ensure technology access through licensing, and to build and regulate business rules in ecosystems. Gustav’s telecom experience is highly relevant in this regard, he has already been of great value to our clients, and I look forward to further deepening our relationship moving forward.”

“Konsert has a unique position. To my knowledge, no one else can offer business strategy and IP services, end-to-end from strategy to execution, at the level Konsert can”, says Gustav Brismark. “Konsert really moves the needle both for IP-advanced companies and for those that need to catch up. As products across all industries get more connected and intelligent, new strategic challenges surface concerning access to and control of technology, know-how and data, with major impact on competitiveness and profitability. I’m thrilled to be working with Konsert’s team to help clients deal with these challenges.”
